National Health Service NHS needs Lean Six Sigma

Watching the Andrew Marr show on BBC TV this morning and Sir Robert Naylor a leading figure in the NHS said something that agrees with the principles of Lean Six Sigma …. he said that is not all about throwing more money at the problems … or just focusing on reducing costs … it is the processes that need to be understood and improved and root causes of problems corrected. my colleague Chris Alcock presently helping a health care authority near Milton Keynes in Lean Six Sigma.  I also taught a class of 22 NHS employees last year in London… however they were mostly junior administrators and they told me it is the Medical Consultants and High level doctors who hold a lot of the power and are among the hardest to get to change their habits.
